Olivia Brice

Founder, The Verity Collective

Dr. Olivia Brice is the founder of The Verity Collective, an adoption strategy firm that helps organizations make technology-driven change last, with the people doing the work. Her 2026 doctoral research at the University of Southern California, a mixed-methods study of technology adoption in public-sector agencies, examined why intentions and actions come apart after rollout — the intention–adoption gap. She also holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. She serves as Board Secretary of the Foundation of HOPE.

Her work starts from what that study found: change rarely stalls because people resist it. It stalls when the people doing the work never get a real say.

Before founding Verity, she spent fifteen years in that gap from three sides: consulting at a global firm, advising senior transformation leaders across federal agencies, and leading role and operating-model design inside a Fortune 500 enterprise technology company.

Ownability

People defend what they helped build and quietly abandon what they were handed. Olivia calls the conditions that make ownership possible ownability: the people doing the work help design it, their expertise counts as expertise, and they come out more capable than they went in. Buy-in is the starting line. The measure is durability: whether they keep driving the change themselves once no one is requiring it.
